during the summer, you can listen to local bands perform outdoors during the Bell Park Summer Concert Series.

Sudbury! Explore the unique shops or people-watch as you enjoy
a drink on one of the many outdoor patios. Be sure to check out the fresh local
produce and homemade crafts at
Market Square
while you're there!
The Caruso Club: Promoting Italian Culture Since 1947

Established in 1947, the
Società Caruso has been an important foundation in
promoting Italian culture in Greater Sudbury.
One of the Caruso Club's biggest events is the annual
Italian Festival, which takes place every summer. The
event features traditional foods, games, and more!
This year, the Italian Festival takes place from July to
10.
The cost of a family membership is $107.
A family membership has many perks including, discounts,
use of the member's lounge, boardroom and bocce courts,
and much more! This is not only a great way to become involved in
the community, but also to and learn about the culture
and keep Italian tradition alive and well in our city. For more

National Aboriginal Day: Learn about the Aboriginal culture
and the traditional pow wow. Enjoy song, dance and food from the people
of this territory.
June 24 - St. Jean Baptiste: Celebrate French Canada's national day and
the arrival of summer with live entertainment, games, clowns, tasty
treats and "plein de surprises."
July 1 -
Sudbury Community Arena Canada Day Celebrations: Day-long
family activities and international food fair in celebration of Canada
Day.
July 1:
Science North Canada Day Celebrations: Full day and evening of
family fun and entertainment, topped off by a spectacular fireworks
display.
July 8 to 10 - Northern Lights Festival Boréal: Celebrate the 40th
anniversary of Canada's longest running outdoor festival. Three days of
blue-sky entertainment for all tastes in English and "en français."

Italian Festival: Celebrate Italian heritage and culture
at the Caruso Club.
July 15 to 17 -
Sudbury Gem and Mineral Show: Northern Ontario's
largest
gem, mineral, fossil, bead and lapidary arts show.
July 16 - Sudbury Dragon Boat Festival: Cultural entertainment, kid's
area, and other activities on the shores of Ramsey Lake. Begins Friday
with race day on Saturday.
July 17 to 24 -
Blueberry Festival: Everything's blueberry as Sudbury
celebrates the wild blueberry harvest.
July 18 to 24 -
Sudbury Pride Week: Annual celebration of diversity; a
week of education, arts and festivities for the LGBT2Q community.
July 20 to 24: 2011 Canadian Francophone Games of
Greater Sudbury: The
5th Canadian Francophone Games will attract 15,000 young people from
across Canada for six days of cultural and sporting events at Laurentian
University, Collège Boréal and other venues.
July 22 to 24:
Greek Festival: Enjoy traditional food, dancing and
entertainment at the Hellenic Centre.
July 22 to 24:
Panhellenic International Soccer Tournament: Competitive
men's and women's soccer at various fields in Greater Sudbury.

Whitefish Lake First Nation Pow Wow: Make time with traditional drumming and dancing at
Whitefish Lake First Nation.
August 20 and 21 -
Wahnapitae First Nation Pow Wow: Traditional First Nations culture,
dancing and drumming on the shores of beautiful Lake Wanapitei.
August 25 to 29 -
Summerfest: An end of summer celebration of music and
cultural activities featuring nationally and internationally acclaimed
musicians.
August 28 -
Garlic Festival: Pay tribute to the treasured garlic bulb
with food and entertainment, including the acrobatic kicks of Ukrainian
dancers, at Hnatyshyn Park.
September 2 to 4 - Downtown Sudbury Ribfest: Professional rib teams, live
entertainment, craft vendors and a vintage car show.
September 9 to 11 - Jazz Sudbury
Festival: Featuring incredible Canadian
and international live performances overlooking Ramsey Lake.
September 17 to 25 - Cinéfest: One of Canada's five premiere film
festivals attracts 30,000 movie buffs as well as film stars and
cinephiles.
